Day 7 - "Isn't Everything We Do in Life a Way to be Loved a Little More?"
Ok, this is so unfair! I have my own list of my favorite movies, but the challenge challenged me to only write one. So, I’ve decided to pick one that left an unforgettable impression on me. So here it is, before sunrise.
To add the vibe, click this :
If it is possible to fall in love
with a movie, I'd be head over heels with the “before trilogy" for
certain. Honestly, I can't pick one, but before sunrise always gave this
feeling that I couldn't even describe. This movie is not everyone's cup of tea.
Some might find them boring. Because the movie is all about dialogue, and
beautiful scenery of Europe cities. But if you pay attention, and if you live
your life questioning about a lot of things, and dreaming of a fine random day,
when you plan nothing but all of a sudden someone walks by and you're just drawn to them without knowing exactly why, this movie is right for you.
It was a story about how the universe unites a French girl and an
American guy on their way to their destination. It just a few conversations
when they realized that it was one in a lifetime opportunity to meet someone
who's just right for you. They took the odds and spent the rest of the day
together in the beautiful city of Vienna before the American catch his flight, and the girl needed to catch the
next train to Paris. The audience just listen to them talking for almost 2 hours,
but for me, I didn't get bored at all.
I fell in love with the scenery that the movie took. Ethan Hawke's
and Julie Delphy's acting always put me in awe. They’re just so good, I could
just believe that they might be really fell in love during the shooting. The
long-shot was brilliant. The conversation just blew my mind. Celine is
definitely my spirit animal, and Jesse? Awkward guys are not my type, but Jesse
definitely is.
This movie is about being connected, being honest, being vulnerable, and being brave. It doesn’t give you clear climax but it’s still amazing. At the end of the movie, they just part ways. Just like that. Without any number, any, address, without anything.
If I point out my favorite things about the movie, I'd end up giving you all spoilers. I recommend you watch this at least once. Please just give it a try and let me know if you like it!
